The Steinhatchee River has easy access to and within minutes of the Gulf of Mexico. Steinhatchee has several marinas, boat storages, restaurants and lots of atmosphere. Come spend your vacation time with us!

Steinhatchee is a beautiful river community providing such activities as hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating and scalloping. 

Scalloping and hunting have seasons.  Steinhatchee is the TOP PLACE in the United States for catching bay scallops. The season is open from July 1st until September 10th. Just bring your Florida salt water fishing license, mask, snorkle and plenty of sunscreen. They are fun and easy to catch. This sport can be enjoyed by all ages! Anyone can do this. It is SO MUCH FUN! It is just like hunting Easter eggs!  After you catch them (or find them) enjoy a scallop/fish fry or a BBQ at one of our vacation rentals.
